Challenges of journalism in the digital age highlighted
Lokanath, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Mysore, said here on Thursday that digital media has expanded and has been widely used but reading habits among students were on a decline. He was speaking at the inauguration of “En Samachara – Media Habba 2025” organised by the Department of Information and Public Relations, Karnataka Media Academy, and the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of Mysore. Karnataka Media Academy president Ayesha Khanum said that trust in journalism was declining in the present times, and young journalists must work towards restoring credibility. The event was attended by Sahana, registrar of Karnataka Media Academy, former NDTV journalist Maya Sharma, N. Mamatha, head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, T.K.
