Read our privacy policy Rhod Gilbert has given fans an update on his health, revealing that he has been diagnosed with stage four cancer. “I was having all sorts of problems and we couldn’t get to the bottom of it.” Gilbert explained that the symptoms became progressively worse while he was fundraising for Velindre Cancer Centre in Cuba. “It turns out I’ve got stage four cancer,” he said. “Hopefully I’m going to jot it all down and one day bring it to the stage.” Jimmy Carr shared a touching message of support, alongside fellow comedians including Jason Manford, after Gilbert’s news.
