Karen Andrews, one of the most prominent female figures of the Morrison government has said her farewell to the parliament. "I think it is softer than what it was under the Coalition government without a doubt," she says. "We know there have been successful arrivals here over the last couple of years — something the Coalition has always been strong on is making sure our borders are protected." She says while it may be a "little bit better", there is still room for improvement that may not occur until longstanding members leave. "I would like to see more women coming in for the Liberal-National parties and I hope that is the case over the coming years."
