Gladys Berejiklian digs in as she faces more scrutiny over relationship with disgraced ex-MP Daryl Maguire
ABCNSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has again strongly denied any wrongdoing by maintaining her relationship with the disgraced former MP Daryl Maguire. Key points: The Premier continues to maintain she's done nothing wrong professionally Ms Berejiklian said she was not aware of any wrongdoing but would have reported it if she had Opposition Leader Jodi McKay says Labor may move a no-confidence motion against the Premier Ms Berejiklian faced more questions about her five-year "close personal relationship" with Mr Maguire at a press conference this afternoon. "I think it's extraordinary that Ms Berejiklian thinks she can still be Premier of this state when she has turned a blind eye to corruption," Ms McKay said. In another call several days later, Mr Maguire told Ms Berejiklian the deal was done and she replied saying: "I don't need to know about that bit." Ms McKay yesterday said the phone calls showed the Premier was "privy to the wheelings and dealings of Daryl Maguire, a disgraced member of this Parliament".
