Thunchanparamba loses its mentor and guide

The Hindu

The passing of M.T. Vasudevan Nair has brought a pall of gloom over Thunchanparamba, a cultural centre in the native home of Thunchath Ramanujan Ezhuthachan, the father of the Malayalam language. “By heading the Thunchan Memorial Trust at Thunchanparamba, MT surrendered his laurels and fame before the father of the Malayalam language. It is perhaps the only cultural centre of such repute that does not have an office vehicle of its own,” said poet Manambur Rajanbabu, who remained close to M.T. In his laconic style, he would say, “let’s work together within our limitations.” Though a man of few words and unsmiling, people used to see M.T.
