Install CCTV Cameras And Street Lights To Curb Instances Of Child Lifting: Delhi HC Directs Delhi Police

Delhi High Court has directed the Commissioner of Delhi Police to install CCTV cameras at Aman Vihar Police Station in Delhi. In the present suo motu petition, an affidavit was filed by the Commissioner of Delhi Police highlighting the facts regarding missing adults as children in the Aman Vihar area of Delhi. Advocate Rahul Mehra, Standing Counsel for GNCTD had pointed out despite the previous Order of the present court directing the Respondents to install CCTV cameras at the Aman Vihar Police Station, no progress has been made so far. While directing the Commissioner of Delhi Police to install a minimum of 587 CCTV cameras at Aman Vihar police station, the court opined that the seriousness of the issue has not been appreciated by the Respondents.
