Mamata Banerjee 'indebted' to leaders who backed her as INDIA bloc head

BACKING FOR MAMATA AS INDIA BLOC HEAD Several prominent opposition leaders, including RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, Samajwadi Party leader Udaiveer Singh, and YSRCP Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy, have voiced support for Banerjee's leadership within the bloc. YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy praised Banerjee’s political acumen and track record, tweeting, “Mamata Banerjee is an ideal candidate to lead the INDIA alliance as she has the required political and electoral experience to head an alliance.” Samajwadi Party spokesperson Udaiveer Singh also extended “100% support and cooperation,” noting, “If Mamata Banerjee has expressed any desire, the leaders of the INDIA bloc should consider it. She reaffirmed her willingness to lead if given the responsibility, saying, “I don’t want to go outside Bengal, but I can run it from here.” As the leadership debate continues, Banerjee's remarks and the growing support from non-Congress parties highlight the need for unity within the opposition to present a strong challenge to the BJP.
