Shanxi strives to build strong ecological foundation

North China's Shanxi province has been expanding, revitalizing, and protecting greenery to cultivate a strong ecological foundation. The province has appointed 33,800 forest chiefs and established a comprehensive system of chiefs at provincial, city, county, township, and village levels to identify responsibilities across the province. Wildlife conservation has also been a key focus in maintaining ecological security, enhancing biodiversity, and creating a beautiful Shanxi. The province has also organized forest tourism festivals and connected 59 forest health tourism sites into 10 premium routes for the public, unlocking more economic benefits from its green mountains and clear waters.
