The country's largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki India, recorded its highest-ever calendar year wholesales in the domestic market at 17,90,877 units in 2024, driven by a robust show from models like the WagonR, Ertiga, Brezza, Swift, Baleno, Dzire and Fronx. Maruti also witnessed a higher growth than the industry in the sedan segment, he added. Banerjee said that Maruti's approach to cover the entire country through a wide network of showrooms and service centres assisted it in posting handsome growth in sales.
