19 of Al Jazeera staffer's family killed in Israeli attack on Gaza refugee camp
India TodayAl Jazeera on Wednesday claimed that 19 family members of its staffer, Mohamed Abu Al-Qumsan, were killed in the Israeli airstrike launched at the densely populated Jabalia refugee camp in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday. Taking to social media a day after the attack, Al Jazeera said it "vehemently condemns the heinous and indiscriminate Israeli bombing that has resulted in killing of 19 family members of our dedicated SNG engineer, Mohamed Abu Al-Qumsan". An Israel Defense Forces statement claimed that Jabalia, Gaza's largest refugee camp, was attacked because Ibrahim Biari, a "pivotal" Hamas commander, was in an underground tunnel complex there along with Hamas combatants. Three family members of Wael Al-Dahdouh, Al Jazeera Arabic's bureau chief in Gaza, were killed on October 25 as an Israeli raid on two houses in the Nuseirat refugee camp killed several people.
