‘Decision on HC Bench in western UP after Delhi polls’
The Centre will think about establishing a High Court Bench in western Uttar Pradesh after Delhi elections, said a delegation of lawyers leading the campaign after meeting the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely on Saturday. According to Anil Kumar Jangala, who led the delegation of lawyers, Mr. Jaitely assured them about Centre’s serious and sincere approach towards the demand of a High Court Bench in western UP. Sanjeev Baliyan, the Union Minister of State for Agriculture, and the BJP MP from Muzaffarnagar and Union Minister of State for Tourism and Culture, the BJP MP from Ghaziabad General V. K. Singh also attended the meeting, endorsing the demand for a High Court Bench in western UP. “The demand for a High Court Bench in western UP has been an old demand, which had been raised since 1955.
