Job fair in Hassan: ‘IT sector would be offering 30 lakh jobs in next five years’

Minister for Higher Education and Skill Development Dr. C.N. Ashwath Narayan said lakhs of youths would get jobs in Karnataka as the Information Technology sector would be offering 30 lakh jobs in the next five years. Under the Skill Development Programme, we are committed to create 2.5 lakh jobs,” the Minister said. He said the department had brought in reforms in the education system so that students could develop future skills and enhance their chances of getting jobs. Executive Director of Karnataka Skills Development Corporation Ashwin Gowda, Malnad College of Engineering principal C.V. Venkatesh and Hassan Deputy Commissioner R. Girish were present at the job fair.
