Actor Dileep files petition to nullify FIR in conspiracy case

Actor Dileep, the eighth accused in the actor assault case filed a petition in the Kerala High Court to nullify the FIR against him and his family members for conspiring to kill the investigating officers of the assault case. Dileep alleged that the new conspiracy case was created by the investigating team to trap him since they didn't have proof against him in the assault case. The High Court had earlier granted anticipatory bail for actor Dileep in the conspiracy case. On January 9, the Crime Branch registered the case on a complaint filed by an investigating officer based on a purported audio clip of Dileep, which was telecast by a TV channel, in which the actor was allegedly heard conspiring to harm the official.
