In this episode of Royal Insight, Camilla Tominey, the Telegraph’s associate editor, explains how even though “Queen Camilla can carry out more royal duties to a certain extent, she doesn’t have the constitutional heft that Prince William has as heir to the throne”. “Though it may be appropriate now for Prince William to say he’s prioritising immediate family and his wife over the family firm, what is that going to look like in weeks to come?” ‘They aren’t a normal family’ Tominey explains: “The idea that William will carry on with his own projects and only support the king a little - I’m not sure, from a PR perspective or a practical one - that it will quite cut the mustard.
