Leaving ISRO in 2018, Pawan Kumar Chandana and Naga Bharath Daka co-founded Skyroot Aerospace, the company behind Vikram-1 — India’s first-ever privately designed and developed rocket for commercial missions. Private sector rocket maker Skyroot Aerospace Private Ltd, based in Hyderabad, announced that it had successfully completed the full duration test-firing of India’s first-ever privately designed and developed rocket for commercial missions — Vikram-1.
