PM Modi, Amit Shah Dial UP CM Yogi After Stampede At Maha Kumbh Mela

Maha Kumbh Stampede: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to review the situation after a stampede at the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj on the second Amrit Snan day on Wednesday. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also spoke with CM Adityanatha and assured him of all possible help from the Centre. Around 10 people are feared dead in the stampede that occurred around 1 am on Wednesday after some barriers broke, leading to injuries, according to Special Executive Officer Akanksha Rana. Nearly 5 crore people reached the Maha Kumbh Mela on Tuesday and the Mauni Amavasya is expected to attract around 10 crore people on Wednesday.
