Queensland's South Burnett lashed with 'unprecedented' wild weather

ABC

Rowan Matthews-Frederick poured "thousands of hours" into the renovation of his Queensland house. He said it had been a "bad run" in the South Burnett region in recent weeks with a series of flooding events followed by a wild storm in Kingaroy. Cr Duff said the weather was unprecedented with large trees down and "green waste everywhere". "We've never seen massive trees that you think would live for 100 years falling in the backs of yards, and then now two gum trees on houses," she said. Cr Duff said the Queensland Reconstruction Authority agreed to view all of the storms across the South Burnett since December 9 as one event.
