ABC

The Perth couple who survived a plane crash off Rottnest Island last week, which killed two tourists as well as the pilot, have issued a statement to say thank you for the prompt response from rescuers and medical personnel. Jeremy and Patricia Connor were aboard the plane, operated by Swan River Seaplanes, which crashed into the ocean in Thomson Bay last Tuesday afternoon. "We were passengers on the seaplane that tragically crashed at Rottnest Island on Tuesday January 7, and we would like to pass on our thoughts and thanks to all involved," the couple said. The couple also thanked members of the public who came to their aid immediately after the crash, medical staff on Rottnest and Fiona Stanley Hospital.
