The Government of Assam has issued a notification informing that all the judges, judicial officers, other Officers and staff of Gauhati High Court and Subordinate Courts in the state of Assam, including the lawyers appearing in various courts and all Officers and Staff of different prisons in the state of Assam, shall be considered as Front Line Workers for the purpose of COVID Vaccination.It. The Government of Assam has issued a notification informing that all the judges, judicial officers, other Officers and staff of Gauhati High Court and Subordinate Courts in the state of Assam, including the lawyers appearing in various courts and all Officers and Staff of different prisons in the state of Assam, shall be considered as Front Line Workers for the purpose of COVID Vaccination. For this purpose, the State Government has now notified that all the judges, judicial officers, other Officers and staff of Gauhati High Court and Subordinate Courts in the state of Assam, including the lawyers appearing in various courts and all Officers and Staff of different prisons in the state of Assam, shall be considered as front line workers. Significantly, the State Government has been considering all the state government employees, especially those involved in the maintenance of law and order, starting from police personnel to judiciary to prison staff who provide public service despite the impact of COVID, as front line workers.
