Wyndham East Kimberley Shire CEO Vernon Lawrence said Airnorth's services kept skilled people in Kununurra in the long term. "Airnorth being able to provide that connectivity is a huge thing from livability to family, opportunities and employment and our ability to attract staff to the Kimberley," he said. Mr Bowden said Airnorth was in a strong financial position "contrary to rumours", and had invested in new aircraft and technology.
