How Govinda became India's Comedy King, one cult film at a time. On Monday Masala

Govinda is entertainer No 1. Yes, Govinda is unforgettable, but film lovers will always remember Govinda and David Dhawan’s jodi, and their brand of slapstick comedy from the 1990s. Hero No 1 was also directed by David Dhawan and starred Karisma Kapoor opposite Govinda. Kader Khan and Johnny Lever also had prominent roles in the film and their first meeting with Govinda in the movie was hands-down one of the funniest scenes. Prem, played by Salman Khan meets Bhaskar Diwakar Chaudhury, played by Govinda and gets to know that the latter is in love with Priya, played by Katrina Kaif.
