'System Ki Dhajjiyan Uda Rahen Hain': Hardeep Puri Jabs Kejriwal At ABP Shikhar Sammelan 2024
ABP NewsNew Delhi: Weighing in on the prevailing political scenario in the national capital in light of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest in connection with the excise policy case, Union Minister Hardeep Puri on Friday accused the ruling Aam Aadmi Party of flouting the time-honoured conventions in the country. Speaking at the ABP Shikhar Sammelan 2024, Puri said back in the day, any leader holding a responsible public office would owe moral responsibility in the event of any “misdeeds” or revelations and step down. To a question on whether Delhi was staring at a constitutional crisis with the CM in ED custody, the Union Minister said, “Since I am no longer a bureaucrat, I would give my honest political assessment in the matter. A party with 303 Lok Sabha seats received Rs 6,000 crore, while another party which is in power in just one state got Rs1600 crore.” On the AAP running a social media campaign claiming Kejriwal to be Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “biggest fear” going into the Lok Sabha elections, Puri said, “Whenever Kejriwal pits himself against PM Modi, his graph as a leader drops further down, while the latter’s stays where it was.
