He’s also got a knack for the unconventionally addictive anthems, resulting in his highest Hottest 100 appearances with Vera Blue and Kai. “It hasn’t been a complete Cinderella story for me from day one,” Amy told triple j in 2018 about ‘I Said Hi’, an empowering pop gem that busted the myth of her ‘overnight success’. It pushed the band’s sound into new and fun territories, and resulted in their highest Hottest 100 position yet, with ‘Exactly How You Are’ reaching #18.
