SC Notice To States On PIL For Proper Implementation Of Rules To Prevent Sexual Harassment At Work Place [Read Petition]
The Supreme Court today issued notice to States on a PIL which sought a direction for proper Implementation of provisions of Sexual Harassment At Workplace Act 2013 without further delay.Appearing for petitioner Initiatives For Inclusion Foundation, Senior Advocate Sanjay Parikh said even the Local District Officers and Complaints Committees are not being appointed. Appearing for petitioner Initiatives For Inclusion Foundation, Senior Advocate Sanjay Parikh said even the Local District Officers and Complaints Committees are not being appointed and victims do not have a forum to file complaints even as such cases are on the rise. A bench headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra sought the response of all states within four weeks.
