Malaysia Open: Satwik-Chirag beat South Korea's Seo Seung Jae and Kang Min Hyuk to reach final
FirstpostKuala Lumpur: Asian Games gold medallists Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty on Saturday beat world champions Korean pair of Seo Seung Jae and Kang Min Hyuk dished in straight games to advance to the Malaysia Open Super 1000 men’s doubles final in their first tournament of the season. Satwik and Chirag thus stood just one step away from their second Super 1000 title, having won the first one at the Indonesian Open in June last year. Chirag committed a few errors and soon, the Koreans grabbed six game points as a third game looked eminent but then there was a twist in the tale. Satwik and Chirag has been the most successful Indian players in the circuit last year, having won the Asian Games gold, titles in Asian Championship, Indonesian Super 1000, Korea Super 500 and Swiss Open Super 300.
