Kalaburagi’s Sharnbasva University faculty receives ISTE Award
The HinduThe Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Sharnbasva University, formerly known as Godutai Engineering College for Women, received the Mrs. Rehatun Nesai Ali Memorial ISTE National Award for Best Women’s Engineering College in India. Sitharam, chairman, All India Council for Technical Education, to Lakshmi Patil Maka, Dean, Sharnbasva University, at the 54th ISTE National Annual Faculty Convention held at Lamrin Tech Skill University at Ropar in Punjab on Friday. The journey of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology started in 2011 with the establishment of the Godutai Engineering College for Women by Sharnbaswappa Appa, the head of Sharnabasaveshwar Samasthan. Though the Godutai Engineering College for Women was merged with the Sharnbasva University after the establishment of the university, the exclusive nature of the college was retained by establishing the Faculty of Engineering and Technology exclusively for women.
