Warning over M25 delays as motorway closes for THREE weekends by junction 10 with travellers heading to Gatwick and Heathrow Airports told to plan for extra journey time

A section of Britain's most used motorway is set to close for three weekends over March and April that could cause travel chaos for motorists. Upcoming closures of the M25 in the Surrey area around the junction with the A3 could add significant travel time for those heading to Gatwick and Heathrow airports. The M25 closed in May last year between junctions 9 and 10 while concrete beams for a new bridge were installed The closure of stretches of the M25 led the four-lanes that usually feed the capital with workers and tourists looking eerily empty Shaun Jones, AA Patrol of the Year, said: 'As one of the busiest stretches of the M25 is subject to road works, we urge drivers to plan their journeys in advance by downloading the AA Route Planner and to allow plenty of extra time for their journeys.
