Fusinato himself told ABC TV's Art Works: "I always enjoy creating something that might agitate, create friction, but remind us that we're f***ing alive." "Doing the Venice Biennale has really made me think about returning to exactly the same place my parents migrated from, to represent the country they migrated to," he told Art Works. "It's a monumental undertaking, and you don't know until you're in it what's going to happen," Fusinato told ABC TV's Art Works ahead of the Biennale opening in April.
