CWC passes resolution on caste census after Revanth suggests it to be included in the national census
The Congress Working Committee passed a resolution and approved the proposal of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy that a resolution be passed on the caste census to the Union government and included in the national census to be taken up soon. He also suggested that the Congress should fight to include caste census in the census to be conducted by the Central government next year. The Chief Minister said that there are chances of re-organisation of parliamentary constituencies in the country soon, and if it was done based on population, Southern States were likely to suffer with northern States getting benefited in terms of seats enhancement. Mr. Reddy also suggested that Congress should make efforts to take credit for the Women’s Bill in Parliament increasing their share in the Legislatures.
