Mastermind behind mistaken identity murder of Glenn Walewicz faces sentencing in ACT Supreme Court

ABC

Prosecutors have called for a substantial jail term for the mastermind of the home invasion which saw Canberra man Glenn Walewicz shot dead at his front door in 2021. A 17-year-old boy, who was sentenced to 13 years in jail in the ACT Supreme Court last year, then shot Mr Walewicz when he answered the door. But prosecutor Trent Hickey said the crime was pre-meditated, planned the day before, and that afterwards Williams warned those involved to stay quiet. "We say there is no evidence she knew the gun was loaded when she handed it to," Mr Purnell said.
