Parthasarathy temple in Chennai’s Triplicane gears up for Vaikunta Ekadasi celebrations

Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments P.K. Sekarbabu on Friday said over two lakh devotees were expected to be present for the early darshan at the Parthasarathy Perumal temple in Triplicane on the occasion of Vaikunta Ekadasi on January 10. Mr. Sekarbabu said special darshan had been arranged for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and expecting mothers. They can enter through the rear gopuram of the temple, the Narasimha Shrine side, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. A total of 600 police personnel will be on duty that day. Five medical camps, two ambulances, drinking water and mobile toilet facility and 32 additional closed-circuit television cameras have been arranged, he added.
