Delhi liquor policy case: Manish Sisodia sent to judicial custody till April 5
India TodayA day after former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia moved his bail petition in the Rouse Avenue Court in a money laundering case linked to the excise policy, the court on Wednesday sent him to judicial custody till April 5. Senior Counsels Dayan Krishnan and Mohit Mathur appearing for Manish Sisodia also argued that he cooperated in the investigation and none of the CBI’s searches revealed anything exceptional that would require his further custody. However, the Central Bureau of Investigation opposed his bail plea saying Manish Sisodia may not be a flight risk, but he is a definite risk who will destroy evidence. As per the ED, Manish Sisodia was involved in "large-scale destruction of digital evidence to impede investigation" into the Delhi liquor policy case and had changed and destroyed 14 phones.
