Maharashtra: BRS aiming at strengthening the party from the grassroots level
Deccan ChronicleAdilabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi in Maharashtra is aiming at strengthening the party from the grassroots level to contest the local body elections and municipal polls by April-May. Four days ago, BRS Zahirabad MP BB Patil met the Maharashtra state election commission members and submitted a letter from the Election Commission of India, stating the change of name of the Telangana-based party from TRS BRS. KCR reportedly directed the Adilabad MLAs and former MPs to regularly visit the urban areas as also villages in Maharashtra and form village-level farmers’ committees and chold press meets regularly on the farmer’s issues there. A few days ago, KCR held a discussions in Hyderabad with former MLAs Raju Thodsam of Khelapur and Atram Deepak of Aheri who joined the party at the Nanded meeting.
