CM Jagan to Release Rs 193.64 Crore into Bank Accounts of 80,686 Beneficiaries

VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will disburse financial assistance to weavers under the YSR Nethanna Nestham programme for the fifth year in a row, at an event in Venkatagiri in Tirupati district on July 21. The CM would deposit Rs 193.64 crore directly into the bank accounts of 80,686 beneficiaries across the state via the Direct Benefit Transfer at the press of a button and address a public meeting. Since inception of this government in 2019, as high as '969.77 crore has been disbursed towards YSR Nethanna Nestham, Rs 1,396.45 crore towards weavers’ pensions and Rs 468.84 crore to APCO. The previous government had spent only Rs 1,442 crore in a span of 5 years towards the welfare of weavers, it claimed, and added that the present government spent a whopping Rs 3,706 crore in four years, which was nine times higher than the spent by the previous government.
