India need more batters who can bowl: Anil Kumble faults team selection for T20 World Cup exit

Former India captain and coach Anil Kumble has faulted the Indian team selection for the T20 World Cup 2022 exit, saying that the Indian team needs to play a brand of cricket where big-hitting batters contribute with the ball to balance the side. The Indian team crashed out of the T20 World Cup 2022 after Alex Hales and Jos Buttler forged a record-breaking 170-run opening stand to hammer the Rohit Sharma-led side by 10 wickets in the semifinal in Adelaide on Thursday. But I think in Indian cricket, you need batters to bowl too for the balance of the team," Kumble was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo.com. "Because it's not about just playing that role for India and then going back to your domestic cricket and franchise cricket and then changing the way you're going to go about it.
