
SCR requests Telangana govt to widen connecting roads to new Cherlapalli railway terminal
The HinduSouth Central Railway has once again requested the Telangana government to take steps to widen the connecting road for the newly opened Cherlapalli railway terminal from the FCI warehouse side and lay a new road through adjacent open lands of TSIIC for the benefit of passengers. The new roads and provision of other transport services to the ₹413-crore terminal were extensively discussed in the coordination meeting held with government officials, informed Railway officials on Saturday. Bus connectivity The railway officials said that Telangana State Road Transport Corporation has provided bus connectivity and is operating 146 regular bus services from Secunderabad and other locations to Cherlapalli terminal. There are about 20 ticket checking staff, 17 RPF personnel, six catering stalls, six booking counters on both sides, waiting halls, hi-speed wi fi services and 2,400 sq.mts parking at the station Important routes in which the buses are being operated at present are Cherlapalli – Secunderabad ; Cherlapalli – Borabanda ; Cherlapalli – Chengicherla ; Cherlapalli – Mehidipatnam ; Cherlapalli – ECIL – Mehidipatnam and Cherlapalli – ECIL – Secunderabad, added the release.
