Thorns Prepare to Honor Christine Sinclair in Final Regular-Season Match

Associated Press

Christine Sinclair will be honored in her final regular-season match for the Thorns. The Thorns need a win or a draw to outright capture a playoff spot, and this match could be her last game in Portland. She is among just three active players in the NWSL who have played for the same team since the league launched in 2013. She has scored Portland's first-ever goal in a match against FC Kansas City on April 13, 2013 and has scored a club-record 65 regular-season goals with the team, ranking her third all-time in the league.
