Karnataka DGP Neelmani Raju to return to Centre?

Bengaluru: Director General of Police, Internal Security Division, Neelmani Raju of the 1983 batch of Indian Police Service is likely to return to the Centre. According to unconfirmed sources, Ms Raju, who is the second senior-most IPS officer in Karnataka, is likely to be posted as Director General in an available vacancy in one of the Central Police Organisations, including the National Human Rights Commission, New Delhi. If Ms Raju returns to Delhi, then the senior most Additional Director General of Police, Communications, Logistics & Modernisation Asit Mohan Prasad, of 1985 batch of IPS, will be promoted to the rank of DGP in the vacant post. At present, the state has five DGPs including the newly appointed Director General & Inspector General of Police Rupak Kumar Dutta.
