Seeman appears for police inquiry in connection with ‘rape case’

Amid much drama, Naam Tamilar Katchi chief coordinator Seeman on Friday night appeared before the investigation officer in Chennai for an inquiry in connection with a complaint lodged by an yesteryear actor accusing him of rape. Valasaravakkam Police began investigation afresh in the case after the Madras High Court had dismissed a petition filed by Mr. Seeman, in 2023. The petition was filed to quash the rape case registered against him by the police years ago, on a complaint from the actor, who had acted in one of his movies he directed. After the High Court dismissed his quash plea, the Valasaravakkam Police served summons asking him to appear before the investigation officer for inquiry on Thursday.
