Raptors Report: Another clutch loss to Jazz, lottery and playoff odds, Gary Trent’s status and more
New York TimesIf there is a defining image of the 2020-21 Toronto Raptors season, it may have come late Saturday night in Utah, hands on knees around the roster. Flynn found Anunoby for a quick-two dunk in transition, but from there, the foul game — complete with a bit of confusion on an out-of-bounds tip — didn’t go Toronto’s way. We don’t need to relitigate the play-in versus lottery debate every night, and Saturday’s game was at least quite a fun one. It’s too late for the Raptors to fall to any worse than seventh from last overall, so those of you hoping for the best lottery odds will want to be scoreboard-watching Sacramento and Chicago games. Giving the entire roster the Al Horford treatment isn’t realistic for a team like the Raptors with so many core pieces still in need of these late-season reps for growth.
