Is Bengal BJP leader Sabyasachi Dutta returning to TMC soon?

After several high-profile exits from Bengal BJP, is the former Bidhannagar Mayor Sabyasachi Dutta on his way out too? Sources have said Sabyasachi Dutta, who is a state secretary in West Bengal BJP, has already spoken to the top TMC leadership. The TMC leadership is aware of stiff opposition to Dutta’s reinduction into the party from a section of the party, especially arch-rival Bidhannagar MLA and state minister Sujit Bose and also Rajarhat Newtown MLA Tapas Chatterjee. Interestingly, after mostly staying silent since the assembly poll debacle, Dutta took a swipe at the Bengal BJP leadership over Durga Puja. Organised by the BJP’s cultural cell last year, PM Modi had himself inaugurated the Durga Puja virtually at the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre with the entire Bengal BJP leadership in attendance.
