Read our privacy policy Gavin and Stacey star Larry Lamb has said that the comedy will return again, dubbing the 2019 Christmas episode “cruel” for ending on a cliffhanger proposal. “I’m sure the BBC can persuade Ruth and James to write more, so it’s a question of when, not if.” Lamb, who plays Mick Shipman on the series, added that another one-off episode is more likely than a whole series given the cast’s busy schedules. “I’ve always thought a logical thing to do would be a Gavin And Stacey movie, but that’s just my idea.” In April, Ruth Jones dressed up as Nessa to warn fans about the importance of social distancing. I wouldn’t even tell myself to live my life.” She continues: “If you see me in the morning doing my daily run, my half-marathon around Barry, don’t even think about breaking that two-metre rule, because if you does, I will not hesitate to tell you quite clearly to ‘back off’.”
