ORCHARD PARK, NY — For all intents and purposes, two plays defined the New York Giants’ gut-wrenching 14-9 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night. They’re the plays that had tight end Darren Waller saying in the locker room afterward: “We’re feening for a red zone touchdown.” Two plays, one to end each half, both one yard away from pay dirt, and the Giants couldn’t cash in on either opportunity. “Double-team run where we’re hoping they would all suck up on Saquon and give a one-on-one to Darren Waller,” Daboll explained of the play call. “Just didn’t hit on it.” Following the play, debate quickly broke out on social media — and on the broadcast — about whether a pass interference penalty should have been called on Bills defender Taron Johnson.
