Tokyo Olympics 2020: Indian shooters to begin training at venue from Monday with quarantine not required
FirstpostThe Indian shooting team, which arrived in Tokyo in the wee hours on Saturday, have not been asked to undergo quarantine due to them shifting their base to Europe from India in the build-up to the Games. New Delhi: Not required to undergo any quarantine ahead of the Olympics, the Indian shooters will begin training at the venue from 19 July, having got their rooms allotted at the Games Village after arriving in Tokyo in the wee hours of Saturday. During their stay in Croatia, the Indian shooters took part in the European Championships in Osijek, from 29 May to 6 June, before participating in the last World Cup before the Olympics, from 22 June to 3 July, at the same venue. Before the coronavirus pandemic broke out, Indian shooters consistently dominated the sport, finishing top of the table in four ISSF World Cups in 2019.
