ISL: Chennaiyin FC coach Owen Coyle thrilled to work with youngsters, looks forward to improving club's fortunes

Chennai: Chennaiyin FC’s newly-appointed head coach Owen Coyle is thrilled to work with the young crop of domestic players, especially wingers, in the forthcoming 2023-24 season and said it was important to develop young Indian players as it would help the national team become better. “So there’s a lot of work to be done, but we’re looking forward to working with the young Indian players to grow and develop a team that our fans can be proud of. Coyle also said the effort would be to “make sure that we’re a better team.” Also, he said, “So it’s important that the foreign players I bring in add to the quality of the Indian players that we have.” He further said there were high expectations about Chennaiyin FC and that he wanted to take the club “back to those heights again.” “The expectations are there because Chennai have been a two-time winner before. “It is really important that we grow and we develop young Indian talents because if we’re doing that then Indian football becomes better, the national team becomes better and everybody feels better about their level of work,” Coyle signed off.
