Micromax announces Yu Developers Challenge for Indian app developers
Micromax’s online brand YU has announced the YU Developers Challenge at DroidCon India in Bangalore, a contest aimed at Indian app developers to develop apps for the Cyanogen OS on the Android platform. The winner will get a prize of Rs 1,00,000, top three will get a YU smartphone and the top ten developers will get YU merchandise. The YU brand, owned by YU Televentures is a wholly owned subsidiary of Micromax Informatics and products associated with it will be sold online only. Project Yureka was conceptualised to engage directly with consumers and bring innovations that solve consumer problems, not just software or hardware upgrades and is taking the shape of a new brand YU.
