Deepika Kumari slips to 37th in qualifying round of Archery World Cup Stage 3

Archer Deepika Kumari flattered to deceive in the qualifying round after she finished 37th behind Ankita Bhakat in the World Cup Stage 3 on Wednesday, June 22. A poor ranking meant that Deepika got a tough draw as she is likely to face Korea’s Choi Misun, who won the gold medal in the 2016 Rio Olympics in the second round. Deepika also shot 18 perfect 10s at the halfway mark, one behind Gahyun and it showed how inconsistent she was. Deepika went down the barrel in the final set of 36 arrows, where she managed to score 315 points, after hitting five 7s and one 6 to finish her journey in the qualifying round.
