Senior BJP MLA Kalidas Sulochana Kolambkar took oath as the pro tem Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly at the Raj Bhavan here on Friday. Radhakrishnan administered the oath of office to Mr. Kolambkar, a day ahead of the three-day special session of the Assembly. As pro tem Speaker, Mr. Kolambkar will administer the oath of office to the 288 newly elected MLAs in the 15th State Assembly. This may be a temporary arrangement but I will speak to Mr. Fadnavis about it.” Mr. Kolambkar took the oath in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Maharashtra Legislative Council Deputy Chairperson Neelam Gorhe and Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik.
