S Jaishankar to attend Donald Trump's oath taking ceremony on January 20

External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar will represent India at the swearing-in ceremony of President-elect Donald Trump, who will assume office as the 47th President of the United States of America. FOREIGN DIGNITARIES TO ATTEND EVENT The foreign dignitaries who are expected to attend the swearing-in ceremony are Argentine President Javier Milei, Great Britain’s right-leaning Reform UK party chief Nigel Farage, Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and a leader of a right-leaning French political party. Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro was invited to attend Trump’s swearing-in ceremony.
