Construction of new bus stand in Mayiladuthurai nears completion

Mayiladuthurai district’s ₹24-crore modern bus stand, being built at Manakkudi, is set to be completed ahead of schedule by the end of March, according to officials. m., the bus stand is designed to accommodate 28 buses at a time and has modern passenger amenities. It will house a reservation counter, two timekeeper cabins, a police booth, a control room, and 32 free modern toilets, including two specifically designed for persons with disabilities. Officials said the facility would cater to the needs of daily commuters, traders, and long-distance travellers by offering a safe and more comfortable transit experience.
